This 2016 Chardonnay from South Eastern Australia is light, fruity, and refreshingly crisp with flavors of lemon, lime, white peach, delicate nutmeg and a hint of oak.

The citrus notes play nicely with dishes from the sea like oysters, fish and of course shrimp. The refreshing nature of this wine paired nicely with the slight spice from the garlic and pepper in the Shrimp marinade!

Super busy mom hack – skip the skewers and throw in a skillet for an even quicker prep time and serve like a stir-fry over some cauliflower rice!

This recipe came in my workshop box from the Sip & Prep party we had a few weeks ago, so all I had to do was pull it from the freezer in the morning and throw it on the stove when I got home!

Before we had a chance to sit down for dinner, we found yet another unexpected home repair we have to complete – so I REALLLLY needed this wine!

Recipe : California Style Shrimp

  • If prepping ahead and freezing – Add all ingredients except lemon wedges to a freezer bag and seal. Squeeze bag to combine ingredients. Freeze.

  • Thaw freezer bag completely before following the recipe. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Clean and grease the grill grates. Alternately skewer the shrimp and pepper pieces onto metal grilling skewers or wooden skewers soaked in water to prevent burning. Grill skewers for 1-2 minutes on each side until the shrimp is pink and opaque.

  • Serve with the side dish of your choice!
